Electronic Scientific Journals
SciELO-Bolivia is a collection of electronic scientific journals providing free online access to complete texts. It began in July 2008 as a joint effort between different Bolivian institutions, the Main University of San Andrés, the Strategic Research Program of Bolivia, the Bolivian Catholic University, the Bolivian Association of Biomedical Journal Editors, and the Vice Ministry of Science and Technology, and the support of the Pan American Health Organization Representation of Bolivia. The executive coordination of the site is under the Vice ministry of Science and Technology through the Program of the Bolivian System of Information, Science, and Technology (SIBICYT). The Main University of San Andres is in charge of the technical coordination of the site.
Electronic Journals Online – Bolivian Journals is a collection of scientific, academic, technical, and technological publications in all fields of knowledge providing free, online access full texts. The Bolivian Journals Collection utilizes the Scientific Electronic Library Online (ScieLO) model of electronic journals publication for developing countries. Therefore, this collection contains the journals of SciELO-Bolivia applicants. The executive and technical coordination of the site is under the Vice Ministry of Science and Technology (SIBICTY). This project came about from the support of various Bolivian institutions such as the Main University of San Andres, the Bolivian Catholic University, and the Pan American Health Organization Representation of Bolivia.
