    The Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences, also known by its original name Regional Library of Medicine (BIREME, acronym in Portuguese), is a specialized center of the Pan American Health Organization World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) oriented to technical cooperation in scientific health information.

    The Coordination of Rural, Indigenous Organizations and Intercultural Communities of Bolivia (COINCABOL), formed of the Confederation of Indigenous Peoples of Bolivia (CIDOB), the Farmers’ Labor Union Confederation of Bolivia (CSUTCB), the National Confederation of Rural Native Indigenous Women 'Bartolina Sisa'(FNMCIOB'BS'), The Labor Union Confederation of Intercultural Communities of Bolivia (CSCIB), and the National Council of de Ayllus y Markas del Qullasuyu(CONAMAQ), is the coordination and consultation of political, social, economic, and cultural actions with a joint agenda of furthering the development of native rural indigenous peoples and intercultural communities of Bolivia.

    The Law on the Organization of the Executive Power and its Regulatory Decree of February 2006 entrusted the Ministry of Health and Sports with the specific function of the valorizing of Traditional Medicine and creating diverse health systems in the Organization and delivery of health services.
  • The Main University of San Andres
    The Central University Library was created by the Supreme Decree of March 22, 1930 during the presidency of Dr. Hernando Siles. The first collection of books corresponded to the faculties of law, philosophy, theology, and later medical sciences. They were inaccessibly spread out in a dark space.
